There are a variety of reasons why a child may need speech therapy. Some examples include: Articulation (difficult to understand), Stuttering (fluency), Expressive & Receptive Language (limited vocabulary, phrasing and/or comprehension).

Collaborating with a speech therapist can significantly benefit your child’s communication abilities. The acquisition of these skills can facilitate your child’s ability to articulate themselves more effectively, enabling them to express their thoughts, emotions, and needs with confidence.

Speech & Language Assessments

$200

*No referral necessary. Insurance coverage may apply.

Identifying the underlying causes of a child’s communication difficulties is often challenging. However, a Speech-Language Assessment provides an opportunity for a thorough evaluation that can help determine the best communication strategies for the child.

During the assessment, a certified speech-language pathologist (S-LP) will evaluate various communication domains, including articulation, oral motor, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, and literacy. This comprehensive evaluation may take several sessions and will culminate in a detailed written report, along with recommendations for the child.
