A Recreation programFamiliar Favourite – Weekend Edition
This weekly program covers a variety of activities that your child will explore and enjoy including games, science, sensory, and the arts.
The flow, materials, activities, and program environment are specifically curated and designed to support a wide range of social, communicative, and emotional needs.
All our activities embed the fundamentals of socialskilled, which are: learning and working with others, making friends, and keeping friends.
Social goals are responsive to the needs of the participants and may include: Respecting personal space and feelings; Contributing to a group; Taking turns; Accepting differences; Joining activities/Trying something new.
Weather permitting, children will have opportunities for gross motor play in the park.
*If your child has funding through the Ontario Autism Program (OAP), our services may be covered. Please visit our FAQs page for more details.
*Participants should not demonstrate unsafe, at-risk, or aggressive behaviours. Participants require a readiness to manage in a group with a 1:3 or 1:4 support ratio.
Fee:
$549 – 5 Week Super Session
This Super Session runs for an extra hour each week to make up for our renovation closure.
(Programs are typically 10 weeks)

This pilot project will trial after school programming that we hope to offer in a bigger way this fall.
