Inclusive Recreation

Inclusive recreation and evidence-based education programs embedding social skills development and FUN!

What is socialskilled?

socialskilled provides inclusive recreational and educational programs, as well as therapeutic services, for children and teens.

Each of our programs embeds the fundamentals of socialskilled, which are: learning and working with others, making friends, and keeping friends.

Programs

Our unique programs always embed social skills learning in the context of real-life situations. This technique has proven successful for skills transferring to home, school, and the community.

Our educational offerings utilize accredited literacy & math programs and are taught by experienced educators. Small groups provide individual attention catered to the needs of each child.

All of our programs, along with our environment, have been designed to meet the varied needs and abilities of children, and are inclusive to participants who are neurodiverse.

"All programs that we have attended have been amazing! I like that even when we register for the same program each season, the programming is different. They encourage my child to try new things but don’t push him to the point he feels pressured."

"socialskilled provides services that fill a glaring gap in current offerings in our region. Independent interventions are critical and appreciated, but by bringing them together and letting kids learn and use new social tools and techniques in a realistic environment, socialskilled has created the perfect way to combine skills otherwise learned, repeated and performed in only one context. Our kids need to be able to translate their learning into real world situations, in community. The ingenious programming at socialskilled allows for exactly this. We’ll continue participating for as long as we can! Professional, caring, intelligent, informed educators providing exactly the right service — I couldn’t ask for anything more."

"I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the activities my son completed during the Fun with Friends program. My son has attended other social groups which focused mainly on skill building. I loved that this program focused on hands-on learning and was actually fun for my son. I think this is the best way to learn!"

"Fun With Friends establishes core skills and understanding of making and maintaining friendships. Social skills have improved, he wants to play and have fun. This is a comfortable environment for learning and expressing himself without the fear of being judged by others. He realizes there are other kids like him and that he is well liked, he belongs and can be himself."
